Precautions
Copper artefacts should be stored in a dry environment. When cleaning, please use a soft cotton cloth and avoid contact with corrosive chemicals or sharp objects to prevent damage to the product’s finish.
Copper crafts exceeding 10 centimetres in size are typically hollow. The items are manufactured using the lost wax process. A small hole is typically left at the bottom for the purpose of cleaning the casting exhaust and clearing up any residual fine sand particles in the work. Due to the intricate nature of the product structure, a small quantity of sand residue may be present within the crafts. Despite the best efforts of our team, including manual polishing and hand-painting, we cannot guarantee that every item will be 100% perfect. Please note that a small amount of trachoma is to be expected, but this will not affect the product’s aesthetic appearance when placed. If this is a concern for you, we kindly ask that you exercise caution when making your purchase.
Some of the work is carried out using electroplating. To prevent the plating from falling off and to avoid corrosion, a layer of nickel must be plated on the copper embryo. Please note that nickel has a certain degree of magnetism, which may result in a slight suction effect on these works. If you require further information on the characteristics of nickel, please refer to online sources.
